Agricultural Analysis: Science for Sustainable Food and Soil

Africa’s agricultural potential is vast, but its productivity will depend on how well we understand and manage the soil beneath our feet.
As climate change, population growth, and land degradation intensify, farmers and agribusinesses will need data-driven solutions to
sustain productivity and protect soil health. Achelab Laboratory Services will rise to this challenge through our Agricultural Analysis program.

Our work will focus on soil, fertilizer, and plant tissue analysis using FTIR, AAS, HPLC, and UV–Vis technologies. These tools will
allow us to measure nutrient levels, assess soil pH, salinity, organic matter, and identify toxic contaminants such as heavy metals or pesticide residues.

We will also evaluate commercial fertilizers for nutrient composition and compliance with KEBS and international standards. By
verifying fertilizer quality, we will help ensure farmers receive value for their investment and prevent soil nutrient imbalance.

Through close collaboration with agricultural cooperatives, fertilizer producers, and research institutions, Achelab will promote
precision agriculture and evidence-based decision-making. Our goal will be to empower African farmers with scientific data that
improves yields, reduces input costs, and supports sustainable farming systems that preserve the continent’s most vital resource — its soil.
